This site has been put together not only as a place to find out about me and the various music projects I have been involved with, but also as a place where I can contribute to the ongoing development of guitarists all round the world.

I specialize in Blues, Funk, Fusion and Jazz playing styles but I have also written rhythm guitar, sight-reading programs. I teach for The Guitar Institute, which is now part of ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) and also for Thames Valley University.

I have been teaching guitar and transcribing guitar music for over 30 years and contributed to guitar magazines for approx 15 years. It is a shame for all this good stuff to go to waste so I intend to publish from this vast resource on this site. This will also include information on Harmony and Theory, my specialist playing styles, left hand technique, picking techniques, lots of solo transcriptions, chord charts and jam tracks etc.

I also want to include more general advice and information on guitars, effects pedals and pedal-boards, music recording equipment, recording the guitar, recommended C.D.s and other documentation that you might find useful.
